ARTSAKH 2020: Aliyev’s War Crimes, “Genocide by Attrition”, and why Human Rights is still the answer

Vahan Bournazian, Adjunct Professor, Centre for European Studies, Yerevan State University talks about a soon to be published human rights fact-finding report documents the war crimes of the Aliyev regime during its 2020 war in Artsakh. After sharing some of the report’s findings, the concept of “genocide by attrition” will be discussed considering the current context for Artsakh and Armenia. Lastly, the importance of human rights as a foundation for advocacy and as a pathway for future development and security will be addressed.
